LAR armchair made of fiberglass designed by Charles & Ray Eames in the 1950’s and made at Vitra in the 1970’s. Vitra was licensed with Herman Miller in 1957 and then started producing the Charles & Ray Eames designs. LAR stands for Lounge Height Armchair Rod Base or LAR = Low Armchair Rod Base. The frame is also called “cat’s cradle base”. The seat is made of white fiberglass and has a beautiful visible structure. This armchair is still in very good condition with normal signs of use and wear (see photos). Dimensions: h x w x d = 65.5 x 65 x 62.5 cm, seat height = 31 cm. Marked: Vitra (see photos).
