A. Younger Ltd was a high quality British furniture manufacturer that led the way for style and contemporary taste from the 1950s. Younger furniture was manufactured in low volume, was well made and aimed at the top end of the market.
Younger's top designer was John Herbert, the firm's design director.
This particular dining table dating from the late 1950s, designed by Herbert as part of the Fornesca range, was constructed from solid afromosia, an African wood of similar colour and appearance to teak. The beautiful warm glow of the wood paired with the combination of angular and curved lines really make this a stunning piece.

Width: 81.0 cm
Height: 137.0 cm
Other: 73.5cm tall with an under table height of 63.5cm. When fully extended the table is 182cm long.
