**** MANY THANKS FOR THE INTEREST THIS IS NOW RESERVED ****
On offer is this lovely historical gold medal. It's in really good condition overall, the 9ct gold shines up well still all over - light tarnish here and there but certainly nothing which detracts.
It's of traditional oval form with the front decorated with a stag crest and motto "Trust & Fear Not" and "Watford Peace Memorial Hospital".
The reverse reads "A.M. Schreiber Medal 1929 presented to J A Brereton 1944".
Fully hallmarked for 9ct gold (.375), Birmingham 1928 and the renowned maker Fattorini & Sons.
The original hanging loop and pin are both present still and each hallmarked for 9ct gold.
Also present is a sheet of paper which reads "Watford & Disrict Peace Memorial Hospital, with the Matron's compliments".
The medal comes presented in it's original box which is still in good order - the outer covering is tatty and scuffed but all commensurate with age. The interior is stamped for Fattorini & Sons too.
It weighs 13.3g and is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
