About this item
Very early example of classic no.14 chair produced in Korytschany factory in Moravia. Slim version with upper backrest diameter of 2 cm. Marked with orange first generation label. Without THONET stamp used after 1862 in Bystritz a.H. factory. Original cane in very good condition, light tears but fully functional. Thickness of seat frame is 3 cm. Front legs anchored straight in the seat frame, no front leg enforcement used after 1865. Width between outer backseat rim in its widest point is 36,7 cm.
Chair carefully restored while retaining its original character with no additional staining. Thoroughly cleaned, partly dismantled, light repairs to construction in inner backrest part. Light tears to cane but holds firm. French polished.
