About this item

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning and original pair of circa 1860 club armchairs with hand carved claw & ball feet and brown leather upholstery.

A very original and good looking pair, its rare to find club armchairs from this period with solid mahogany frames and claw & ball feet, they are a lovely size, great for modern compact living, the seat base cushions are brand new and have Thomas Chippendale style floating button cushions.

The pair have been fully restored to include a complete wash back and French polish on the timber, the leather has been stripped back to the natural hide then hand dyed this lovely cigar brown colour, the cushions as mentioned are also brand new, upholstered with premium fully aniline leather then hand dyed.

These chairs are rare, the perfect size and look amazing from every angle, they are an amazing find and will look glorious in any setting.

Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition.

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
