Description
This original RUKU Paulaner Gruppe beer garden set dates from 2005 and consists of a long solid wood table with two matching benches, all mounted on robust green metal folding frames. Made in Germany for professional brewery and festival use, these sets are the gold standard for Oktoberfest and biergarten furniture and are stamped underneath with both the Paulaner Gruppe 2005 branding and the Original RUKU maker’s mark for authenticity.
Please note, since taking the images, I have subsequently applied three extra coats of Danish oil, so the wood is a slightly deeper honey colour.
These would look amazing inside as well as originally intended, the thin depth of the top maybe a perfect solution for a less than perfect sized kitchen.
The folding mechanism is a key feature of these sets: each bench and the table have strong welded steel legs painted dark green, which lock into place with a simple and reliable clip and hinge system. The clips are original RUKU heavy-duty galvanised steel latches that snap securely when opened and fold flat against the underside when closed, ensuring both stability when in use and compactness for storage. Unlike modern imitations, this mechanism is designed to withstand repeated folding and heavy weight, making the set not just decorative but fully functional. When folded, the benches and table lie completely flat for easy stacking and transport, which is why these sets were favoured by breweries and festival organisers for decades.
This particular set has been well used, giving it a lived-in character that cannot be faked. The edges show knocks and small chips to the finish, from handling, the legs retain their original green finish with some scratches and wear, and the wooden tops carry the kind of surface scuffs, dents, and colour variation expected from authentic festival use. The overall structure remains solid and dependable, with no weakness in the joints or frames, and the folding clips work exactly as intended. Condition report:
The table and benches have the classic orange-brown varnished pine finish with visible grain, knots, and natural variation, showing years of use with surface scratches, marks, scuffs, and fading that give a genuine patina and rustic charm without compromising stability or strength. The original varnish has areas of wear, especially on the bench tops, where the finish has been smoothed and dulled from years of festival seating, and the table surface shows ring marks and scratches typical of heavy beer hall use, all adding character and authenticity.

1. Free cancellations
Changed your mind before dispatch?
You can cancel any order before it's shipped for a full refund, including delivery.
To cancel an order, click Create cancellation on the order page.
Once an item has been dispatched, delivery costs are not refundable.
Bespoke, personalised or made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled.
2. Returning an item
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return.
There are two return types:
A. The item isn't as described (free return)
If your piece arrives and it doesn't match the listing in any material way (incorrect description, undisclosed damage, inaccurate measurements, misleading photos), you are fully protected:
- Free return
- The seller or Vinterior arranges pickup
- Full refund, including outbound delivery costs once the seller receives the item
This applies to all purchases.
B. You changed your mind
UK-to-UK furniture deliveries:
To make UK furniture returns predictable and stress-free, we offer a simple flat return fee of £75.
- Applies to furniture delivered from a UK mainland seller to a mainland UK address. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly.
- Pickup arranged for you

We coordinate the return with either the seller's chosen courier or our trusted delivery partner.
All other items
Most smaller items are straightforward to return.
You can still return your item within 14 days.
- For smaller or parcel-sized items, you can choose to post the item back yourself using a tracked service, or the seller can suggest a preferred courier.
- For larger or more fragile pieces, the seller may recommend the safest return method.
- Return delivery costs vary depending on size and courier.
The seller will confirm the best option based on the item.
3. If your item arrives damaged
Damage on arrival is uncommon, especially for UK furniture deliveries.
But if something does go wrong, you're fully protected.

Returns are completed smoothly once the pickup is arranged.
7. Refunds
Once the seller receives the piece back in the same condition it was sent, we'll issue your refund to your original payment method.
Once a refund is issued, it may take up to 5–10 working days for the funds to appear back on your original payment method, depending on your bank or card provider.
If the item is returned with new damage that wasn't present at delivery, the refund may be adjusted following review.
