Description
Antique iron ministerial security file. The file comes from the treasury office of the old I.C.A. - Mantova Public Entities Supplies. In the Municipality of Mantua, the compulsory collection service of municipal revenues and the service of ascertaining and collecting the single property fee, has been managed by I.C.A. for over 60 years. The treasury file still presents the official ferry for the supplies of public bodies, the robustness and solidity of this piece of furniture made it perfectly suited to what were documents and valuable taxes. The shelves can be adjusted in height and can be divided horizontally by means of card inserts. The solid iron doors did not have glass windows but metal grids, such as to make the contents visible but in total safety. The considerable weight made everything not easily removable. The cabinet has been completely restored, the painted parts have been treated for oxidation and rust, then powder coated in an anthracite gray color. The doors always treated, material corten effect. The lock, although original, does not have a key and the cabinet is therefore equipped with a rubberized chain with padlock to be affixed between the two soft iron handles. The decoration on the base is also in soft iron. A discreet 0.8 cm hole has been used in the bottom of the cabinet to insert a station with 240 volt current which makes the cabinet also suitable for containing more electronic parts without seeing wires coming out. The exceptional rarity and small size make it a unique and impactful piece of furniture even with the most classic furnishings, as well as being a "must" of the industrial style.

Nel Comune di Mantova il servizio di riscossione coattiva delle entrate comunali e il servizio di accertamento e riscossione del canone unico patrimoniale, da oltre 60 anni è gestito da I.C.A. Lo schedario di tesoreria presenta ancora la traghetta ufficiale delle forniture degli enti pubblici, la robustezza la solidità di questo mobile lo rendeva perfettamente adatto a quello che erano documenti e tributi di valore. I ripiani sono regolabili in altezza e divisibili in orizzontale mediante paratie inseribili a scheda. Gli sportelli sempre in ferro pieno non presentavano finestre in vetro ma griglie in metallo, tali da rendere il contenuto visibile ma in totale sicurezza. Il peso notevole rendeva il tutto non facilmente asportabile. Il mobile è stato completamente restaurato, le parti verniciate sono state trattate per l’ossidazione e la ruggine, poi verniciate a polvere in un colore grigio antracite. Gli sportelli sempre trattati, effetto corten materico. La serratura seppur originale non ha la chiave ed il mobile viene quindi dotato di una catenella gommata con lucchetto da apporre fra le due maniglie in ferro dolce. Sempre in ferro dolce è la decorazione sulla base. Nel fondo del mobile si è sfruttato un discreto foro da 0,8 cm per infilare una postazione con corrente da 240 volt che rende il mobile adatto anche a contenere più parti elettroniche senza vedere fili che escono. L'eccezionale rarità e le dimensioni contenute lo rendono un elemento d’arredo unico e d’impatto anche con gli arredamenti più classici, oltre ad essere un “must” dello stile industriale.

1. Free cancellations
Changed your mind before dispatch?
You can cancel any order before it's shipped for a full refund, including delivery.
To cancel an order, click Create cancellation on the order page.
Once an item has been dispatched, delivery costs are not refundable.
Bespoke, personalised or made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled.
2. Returning an item
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return.
There are two return types:
A. The item isn't as described (free return)
If your piece arrives and it doesn't match the listing in any material way (incorrect description, undisclosed damage, inaccurate measurements, misleading photos), you are fully protected:
- Free return
- The seller or Vinterior arranges pickup
- Full refund, including outbound delivery costs once the seller receives the item
This applies to all purchases.
B. You changed your mind
UK-to-UK furniture deliveries:
To make UK furniture returns predictable and stress-free, we offer a simple flat return fee of £75.
- Applies to furniture delivered from a UK mainland seller to a mainland UK address. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly.
- Pickup arranged for you

We coordinate the return with either the seller's chosen courier or our trusted delivery partner.
All other items
Most smaller items are straightforward to return.
You can still return your item within 14 days.
- For smaller or parcel-sized items, you can choose to post the item back yourself using a tracked service, or the seller can suggest a preferred courier.
- For larger or more fragile pieces, the seller may recommend the safest return method.
- Return delivery costs vary depending on size and courier.
The seller will confirm the best option based on the item.
3. If your item arrives damaged
Damage on arrival is uncommon, especially for UK furniture deliveries.
But if something does go wrong, you're fully protected.
- Let us know as soon as possible (ideally within 72 hours of delivery) so we can resolve things quickly
- Share photos so we understand what happened
- We’ll help arrange a return and refund if needed

4. What can't be returned

Returns are completed smoothly once the pickup is arranged.
7. Refunds
Once the seller receives the piece back in the same condition it was sent, we'll issue your refund to your original payment method.
Once a refund is issued, it may take up to 5–10 working days for the funds to appear back on your original payment method, depending on your bank or card provider.
If the item is returned with new damage that wasn't present at delivery, the refund may be adjusted following review.
