Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Art Deco tallboy, constructed from stunning mirror-matched figured walnut, comprising a cupboard section and two drawers, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. Comprising a rectangular shape and emulating a skyscraper design, the Art Deco compactum boasts a stunning mirror-matched figured walnut exterior. Designed with two large cupboard doors, which open to reveal a large storage, comprising three fixed shelves. The left-hand door features its original sliding bolts, to secure the door when closed and the right-hand door retains its original working lever lock and chrome lock push handle (with working key). Further below, two drawers also retain the original chrome hales. The drawers are constructed with dovetail joints and close flush to the frame. The Art Deco tallboy sits on a recessed plinth and retains its original backboard.
This is a single piece armoire and because of its smaller size it is ideal for compact rooms, as it consumes less space. The Art Deco tallboy would be at home in either a traditional or contemporary setting consumes very little space and is extremely practical. This Art Deco tallboy chest of drawers boasts classic Art Deco styling in the overall design of the curved moulded frame, corners, clean lines to the tops, the handles and the plinth. This Art Deco tallboy chest boasts a rich dark walnut colour, having been cleaned and wax-polished by hand in our workshop along with the years and care of cleaning it has received.

We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. If you live in one of the areas where we do not offer free delivery, please contact us for a delivery quote before purchasing the item. Delivery will be made by our specialised antique furniture delivery service, or in some cases we will use a courier service for distant deliveries.
Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you by email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.
We will also provide you with our shippers' contact details, in case you need to contact the driver on the day of delivery. It's helpful if you can provide us with both the landline and mobile telephone number, in case the driver cannot reach you on one of the numbers on the day of delivery, they can contact you on your alternative number.
In order to be able to offer you free delivery, it is based on a 1-man delivery only. For any large items that require 2 people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with lifting the item.
14-Day Free UK Returns & Refunds:
A 14-day free “no quibble” returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. We will collect the item free of charge from you (we do not charge a return fee / collection fee). You will be given a full refund as long as the item is returned in the same condition. We will collect returns using our own specialist furniture delivery company. We will not accept returns via a courier service (due to experience of damaged items in transit). This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
UK Buyer Payment:
For UK buyers, we accept cash on collection or delivery cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer) or PayPal. Payment is requested within 5 days of the sale. Payment must be cleared before the items are collected or delivered.
International Buyers:

The shipping quote provided is a global estimate only. The actual shipping cost will vary by country and postcode. Condition report:
This is a fine quality antique English Art Deco tallboy, constructed from stunning mirror-matched figured walnut, comprising a cupboard section and two drawers, circa 1930, in excellent original condition. The tallboy has been cleaned and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop, therefore the polish is in a very good condition. The tallboy retains all its original fittings. The doors retain the original internal door latches and original Art Deco chrome handles, all of which are present and in excellent condition. The doors and drawers close flush to the frame. The drawers feature quality dovetail construction, with quarter beading to the interior corner frames. The Art Deco tallboy retains its original backboard and stands on a recessed plinth base. This item is solid in joint and ready to use.

1. Free cancellations
Changed your mind before dispatch?
You can cancel any order before it's shipped for a full refund, including delivery.
To cancel an order, click Create cancellation on the order page.
Once an item has been dispatched, delivery costs are not refundable.
Bespoke, personalised or made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled.
2. Returning an item
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return.
There are two return types:
A. The item isn't as described (free return)
If your piece arrives and it doesn't match the listing in any material way (incorrect description, undisclosed damage, inaccurate measurements, misleading photos), you are fully protected:
- Free return
- The seller or Vinterior arranges pickup
- Full refund, including outbound delivery costs once the seller receives the item
This applies to all purchases.
B. You changed your mind
UK-to-UK furniture deliveries:
To make UK furniture returns predictable and stress-free, we offer a simple flat return fee of £75.
- Applies to furniture delivered from a UK mainland seller to a mainland UK address. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly.
- Pickup arranged for you

We coordinate the return with either the seller's chosen courier or our trusted delivery partner.
All other items
Most smaller items are straightforward to return.
You can still return your item within 14 days.
- For smaller or parcel-sized items, you can choose to post the item back yourself using a tracked service, or the seller can suggest a preferred courier.
- For larger or more fragile pieces, the seller may recommend the safest return method.
- Return delivery costs vary depending on size and courier.
The seller will confirm the best option based on the item.
3. If your item arrives damaged
Damage on arrival is uncommon, especially for UK furniture deliveries.
But if something does go wrong, you're fully protected.

- Share photos so we understand what happened
- We’ll help arrange a return and refund if needed

Returns are completed smoothly once the pickup is arranged.
7. Refunds
Once the seller receives the piece back in the same condition it was sent, we'll issue your refund to your original payment method.
Once a refund is issued, it may take up to 5–10 working days for the funds to appear back on your original payment method, depending on your bank or card provider.
If the item is returned with new damage that wasn't present at delivery, the refund may be adjusted following review.
