Description
An absolutely stunning vintage Italian display cabinet or vitrine of exceptional decorative quality, beautifully crafted in Italy and finished in richly figured burr walnut veneer with elegant classical detailing throughout. This highly decorative collectors cabinet combines glamour, craftsmanship and practicality, making it an outstanding statement piece for interiors while also offering superb display space for treasured collections and decorative objects.
The cabinet is constructed with four beautifully bevelled glass panels — two glazed front doors and glazed side panels — allowing light to flood through the piece and creating a wonderfully open display from multiple angles. Inside are glass display shelves together with a mirrored back and mirrored base which dramatically reflect light and enhance whatever is displayed within, whether crystal, watches, jewellery, silverware, perfume bottles, whisky collections, porcelain, antiques, designer pieces, militaria, curiosities, miniatures or luxury retail items.
One of the most striking and unusual features is the glazed display section to the top of the cabinet, lined in a rich deep red felt or velvet-type material which creates a luxurious presentation area for special pieces. Surrounding the interior top section and continuing around the lower interior edges is an elegant rope-style decorative trim in a gold tone, giving the cabinet a theatrical Hollywood Regency feel while also adding warmth and texture against the mirrored interior. The combination of the mirrored glass, rich red lining and gold rope detailing gives the entire cabinet a very opulent appearance.
The faux burr walnut veneer is particularly attractive. This is framed throughout with contrasting black banding together with intricate metallic decorative inlays in tones that sit somewhere between antique silver and soft gold, giving the piece an unmistakably luxurious Italian character. The decorative borders and trim work are exceptionally well executed and elevate the cabinet far beyond an ordinary display cupboard.
The glazed doors are fitted with elegant brass handles featuring faux diamond inset detailing, and to the centre hangs a lovely decorative tassel which softens the cabinet visually and adds a further touch of vintage charm and sophistication. The tassel is purely decorative but perfectly complements the overall styling of the piece.
Internally, the cabinet is designed to maximise display impact. The mirrored back and mirrored floor bounce light beautifully around the interior while the glass shelving keeps the appearance light and uncluttered. The bevelled glass catches the light attractively and adds another layer of refinement and quality craftsmanship. Every detail of this cabinet has clearly been carefully considered, from the lining materials and decorative trims through to the proportions and elegant glazing.
The cabinet stands on discreet plastic castors which make movement and positioning surprisingly easy while remaining stable and solid in use. 1. Free cancellations
Changed your mind before dispatch?
You can cancel any order before it's shipped for a full refund, including delivery.
To cancel an order, click Create cancellation on the order page.
Once an item has been dispatched, delivery costs are not refundable.
Bespoke, personalised or made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled.
2. Returning an item
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return.
There are two return types:
A. The item isn't as described (free return)
If your piece arrives and it doesn't match the listing in any material way (incorrect description, undisclosed damage, inaccurate measurements, misleading photos), you are fully protected:
- Free return
- The seller or Vinterior arranges pickup
- Full refund, including outbound delivery costs once the seller receives the item
This applies to all purchases.
B. You changed your mind
UK-to-UK furniture deliveries:
To make UK furniture returns predictable and stress-free, we offer a simple flat return fee of £75.
- Applies to furniture delivered from a UK mainland seller to a mainland UK address. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly.
- Pickup arranged for you

All other items
Most smaller items are straightforward to return.
You can still return your item within 14 days.
- For smaller or parcel-sized items, you can choose to post the item back yourself using a tracked service, or the seller can suggest a preferred courier.
- For larger or more fragile pieces, the seller may recommend the safest return method.
- Return delivery costs vary depending on size and courier.

3. If your item arrives damaged
Damage on arrival is uncommon, especially for UK furniture deliveries.
But if something does go wrong, you're fully protected.

7. Refunds
Once the seller receives the piece back in the same condition it was sent, we'll issue your refund to your original payment method.
Once a refund is issued, it may take up to 5–10 working days for the funds to appear back on your original payment method, depending on your bank or card provider.
If the item is returned with new damage that wasn't present at delivery, the refund may be adjusted following review.
