This is a fine quality antique English Victorian chaise longue, constructed from solid mahogany, circa 1860, which has been newly upholstered, in excellent condition.

Description:
This is a fine quality antique English Victorian chaise longue, constructed from solid mahogany, circa 1860, which has been newly upholstered, in excellent condition. The Victorian chaise longue features (when facing) a right-hand raised long sweeping deep buttoned upholstered arm, boasting a stunning quality scroll carved arm and back rail, which unites the seat. The cabriole legs are decorated finely carved floral detail. The seat frame is shaped in an elegant serpentine design. The arm and backrest are solid in joint. The chaise has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality pink & green floral pattern silk embroidered fawn upholstery, incorporating a floral pattern, finished with matching braiding. The stuff over seat has been professionally sprung, incorporates horsehair fillings and is in excellent condition. The seat is firm but comfortable to sit on; you do not sink into the chaise. The underside of the chaise has been traditionally upholstered in hessian backing material. The Victorian chaise longue stands on its original fine quality cabriole front legs and splayed rear leg to the rear, terminating on ceramic porcelain castors.
The Victorian chaise longue frame boasts a stunning mahogany colour, having been cleaned and professionally French polished in our workshop.
This Victorian chaise longue would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the living room or bedroom, in either a traditional or contemporary setting. It would certainly grace any home and is a great investment, as it is extremely functional.

This is a fine quality antique English Victorian chaise longue, constructed from solid mahogany, circa 1860, which has been newly upholstered, in excellent condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the mahogany frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. There are no missing carvings or mouldings to the frame. The mahogany frame has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop, therefore the mahogany chaise longue boasts a stunning rich mahogany colour, with a lovely patination. The Victorian chaise longue has been newly upholstered, to a professional standard, in top quality pink & green floral pattern silk embroidered fawn upholstery, finished with matching braiding and stunning deep buttoning to the arm and back. The stuff over seat is sprung is firm but comfortable to sit on; you do not sink into the chaise. The chaise has been upholstered with horse hair fillings. The underside of the Victorian chaise longue has been traditionally upholstered in hessian backing material. Therefore, the upholstery is in excellent and clean condition. The Victorian sofa stands on its original mahogany cabriole front legs and splayed rear leg, terminating on white porcelain castors, which are also in excellent condition. The Victorian couch is very well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.

Free UK Delivery*:
We offer free delivery to mainland England, Wales, and Southern Scotland (anywhere south of Stirling). *We do not offer free delivery to locations north of Stirling in Scotland, Northern Ireland, or any British Islands off the mainland; for example, the Isle of Man, Isle of White and Channel Islands. If you live in one of the areas where we do not offer free delivery, please contact us for a delivery quote before purchasing the item. Delivery will be made by our specialised antique furniture delivery service, or in some cases we will use a courier service for distant deliveries.
Delivery times are usually 1-4 weeks depending on location; we aim to deliver the majority of items within 2 weeks. All items are professionally packaged and fully insured in transit, therefore, we can assure you, your items will be securely protected in transit and arrive safely with you.
Once you have purchased an item, we will contact you by email and/or telephone and provide you with a provisional delivery date, in order for you to confirm if it is suitable for you. Once you have confirmed you can accept delivery on the provisional delivery date, we will book the delivery in with our shippers and it then becomes a confirmed delivery date.
We will also provide you with our shippers' contact details, in case you need to contact the driver on the day of delivery. It's helpful if you can provide us with both the landline and mobile telephone number, in case the driver cannot reach you on one of the numbers on the day of delivery, they can contact you on your alternative number.
In order to be able to offer you free delivery, it is based on a 1-man delivery only. For any large items that require 2 people to lift the item, we ask that you are available at the time of delivery to be able to give our shipper a lift off the van and into your house with the item. If you are not able to lift items yourself, we ask that you have someone on hand at the time of delivery to assist our shipper with lifting the item.
14-Day Free UK Returns & Refunds:
A free 14-day “no quibble” returns policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. We will collect the item free of charge from you (we do not charge a return fee / collection fee). You will be given a full refund as long as the item is returned in the same condition. We will collect returns using our own specialist furniture delivery company. We will not accept returns via a courier service (due to experience of damaged items in transit). This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
UK Buyer Payment:
For UK buyers, we accept cash on collection or delivery; cheque, credit card, BACS (free bank to bank transfer) or PayPal. Payment is requested within 5 days of the sale. Payment must be cleared before the items are collected or delivered.
International Buyers:

1. Free cancellations
Changed your mind before dispatch?
You can cancel any order before it's shipped for a full refund, including delivery.
To cancel an order, click Create cancellation on the order page.
Once an item has been dispatched, delivery costs are not refundable.
Bespoke, personalised or made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled.
2. Returning an item
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return.
There are two return types:
A. The item isn't as described (free return)
If your piece arrives and it doesn't match the listing in any material way (incorrect description, undisclosed damage, inaccurate measurements, misleading photos), you are fully protected:
- Free return
- The seller or Vinterior arranges pickup
- Full refund, including outbound delivery costs once the seller receives the item
This applies to all purchases.
B. You changed your mind
UK-to-UK furniture deliveries:
To make UK furniture returns predictable and stress-free, we offer a simple flat return fee of £75.
- Applies to furniture delivered from a UK mainland seller to a mainland UK address. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly.
- Pickup arranged for you

We coordinate the return with either the seller's chosen courier or our trusted delivery partner.
All other items
Most smaller items are straightforward to return.
You can still return your item within 14 days.
- For smaller or parcel-sized items, you can choose to post the item back yourself using a tracked service, or the seller can suggest a preferred courier.
- For larger or more fragile pieces, the seller may recommend the safest return method.
- Return delivery costs vary depending on size and courier.
The seller will confirm the best option based on the item.
3. If your item arrives damaged
Damage on arrival is uncommon, especially for UK furniture deliveries.
But if something does go wrong, you're fully protected.
- Let us know as soon as possible (ideally within 72 hours of delivery) so we can resolve things quickly
- Share photos so we understand what happened
- We’ll help arrange a return and refund if needed

Your statutory rights apply for up to 30 days from delivery.
4. What can't be returned

Returns are completed smoothly once the pickup is arranged.
7. Refunds
Once the seller receives the piece back in the same condition it was sent, we'll issue your refund to your original payment method.
Once a refund is issued, it may take up to 5–10 working days for the funds to appear back on your original payment method, depending on your bank or card provider.
If the item is returned with new damage that wasn't present at delivery, the refund may be adjusted following review.
