Federico Molina Albero was a Spanish painter born in Barcelona in 1905 and died in Bunyola, Mallorca, in 1981. He settled in Mallorca, first in Valldemossa and later near Bunyola, developing a body of work focused mainly on portraiture, female figures, still lifes, flowers, maternity scenes and compositions inspired by popular and Mediterranean life.

His painting is characterized by a solid academic foundation, refined drawing and a special sensitivity for female figures of strong visual presence. Molina Albero often combined carefully modelled faces and hands with freer, more expressive passages in fabrics, decorative elements and atmospheric backgrounds.
