Rimase affascinato dai colori e dalle architetture delle Moschee e delle Madrasse di Samarcanda ,Khiva, Bukhara

Dmitrij KOSMIN (Omsk, 1925 – Mosca, 2003)
Nasce nel 1925 a Omsk, ma la famiglia si trasferisce nel 1932 in Kazakhstan.
Nel 1943 parte per il fronte e, terminata la guerra, frequenta l’Istituto d’arte di Tashkent (1946 al 1949). Prosegue gli studi artistici all’Istituto d’Arte di Mosca (poi Surikov), dove discute la tesi nel 1952. Dal 1954 incomincia a partecipare alle più prestigiose mostre in Russia e all’estero. La fine degli anni Sessanta e i Settanta costituiscono il momento di massimo riconoscimento pubblico del talento di Kosmin, presente infatti, in Italia, alla Biennale di Venezia nel 1966 e nel 1967 a Ferrara, Palazzo dei Diamanti, e alle più rappresentative esposizioni di pittura sovietica nel mondo. Nel 1970 viene insignito del titolo di Artista Emerito dell’Unione Sovietica.
La produzione artistica del moscovita Dmitrij Kosmin, prevalentemente rivolta al genere del paesaggio, rivela un profondo legame con la terra d’origine ed è ampia e multiforme tanto quanto infinitamente varia e mutevole è la natura russa. I soggetti delle sue tele spaziano, infatti, dalle sterminate e aspre distese siberiane alle rive soleggiate della Crimea, dalle terre bruciate dell’Asia centrale all’incanto semplice dei dintorni di Mosca, dallo splendore delle antiche città orientali ai piccoli villaggi di pescatori del nord. Il lavoro in regioni e latitudini diverse offre la possibilità del confronto e permette di cogliere il senso profondo dell’irripetibilità dei vari luoghi e momenti. Kosmin però non si pone mai come semplice contemplatore della natura, limitandosi entro i confini del “puro paesaggio”, bensì introduce anche elementi di genere che trasformano le sue tele in manifestazioni di sentimenti e di immagini-pensiero, dando vita a paesaggi risolti in chiave profondamente emozionale, che hanno spesso una risonanza ampia, quasi epica. Si tratta di composizioni costruite su un sistema di poetiche iperboli pittoriche, nelle quali si individuano contrapposizioni e conflittualità cromatiche, ritmiche o espresse dai rapporti prospettici delle forme plastiche. Il linguaggio pittorico di Kosmin è impetuoso, gioioso, talvolta decorativo e fine; la predilezione per le tinte sonore, intense e la plasticità sicura della forma accentuano l’intonazione emozionale delle sue opere, sempre pensate originalmente e profondamente meditate. Insignito di prestigiosi riconoscimenti ufficiali, presente ad esposizioni internazionali di altissimo livello, Dmitrij Kosmin occupa un posto d’onore tra i grandi maestri dell’arte figurativa sovietica.

1. Free cancellations
Changed your mind before dispatch?
You can cancel any order before it's shipped for a full refund, including delivery.
To cancel an order, click Create cancellation on the order page.
Once an item has been dispatched, delivery costs are not refundable.
Bespoke, personalised or made-to-order pieces cannot be cancelled.
2. Returning an item
You have 14 days from delivery to request a return.
There are two return types:
A. The item isn't as described (free return)
If your piece arrives and it doesn't match the listing in any material way (incorrect description, undisclosed damage, inaccurate measurements, misleading photos), you are fully protected:
- Free return
- The seller or Vinterior arranges pickup
- Full refund, including outbound delivery costs once the seller receives the item
This applies to all purchases.
B. You changed your mind
UK-to-UK furniture deliveries:
To make UK furniture returns predictable and stress-free, we offer a simple flat return fee of £75.
- Applies to furniture delivered from a UK mainland seller to a mainland UK address. Excludes Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Wight and Isles of Scilly.
- Pickup arranged for you

We coordinate the return with either the seller's chosen courier or our trusted delivery partner.
All other items
Most smaller items are straightforward to return.
You can still return your item within 14 days.
- For smaller or parcel-sized items, you can choose to post the item back yourself using a tracked service, or the seller can suggest a preferred courier.
- For larger or more fragile pieces, the seller may recommend the safest return method.
- Return delivery costs vary depending on size and courier.

3. If your item arrives damaged

But if something does go wrong, you're fully protected.

7. Refunds
Once the seller receives the piece back in the same condition it was sent, we'll issue your refund to your original payment method.
Once a refund is issued, it may take up to 5–10 working days for the funds to appear back on your original payment method, depending on your bank or card provider.
If the item is returned with new damage that wasn't present at delivery, the refund may be adjusted following review.
