Seven rare rosewood storage designs on Vinterior

The luxurious, rippling warmth of rosewood has long lent it status as an eminent material, colouring the work of furniture designers and makers across many styles and eras. Dalbergia nigra is the sweetly scented species of rosewood most appreciated in Western regions originating in Brazil. Another member of the family tree that we commonly see is dalbergia latifolia, a classic rosewood native to India. Rosewood plantations can be found all over the planet, in locations as diverse as Madagascar, Pakistan, Malaysia, Honduras and Guatemala. A tough, strong wood, rosewood shines up beautifully and is often used in the manufacturing of highly polished products such as guitars, luxury furniture and flooring. The Vinterior collection boasts a large number of rosewood designs across categories from seating to storage. Below is a hand-picked selection of especially extraordinary vintage and antique storage finds made from rosewood.
