About this item

1930s Persian Afshar (Avshar) Rug - hand knotted 100% Wool Pile - 189 x 155 cm (6'3" x 5'1")

Afshar rugs were woven by semi-nomadic people from South Eastern Persia using the hand spun wool from the sheep in their herd and natural dyes from vegetation in the local area.
This lovely example, while well used, still maintains its character and natural beauty. The pile is evenly low but the rug is still highly decorative and would compliment any room setting.

This piece is unique and individual.

Please note: Colours may vary slightly. We try to give a true photographic representation of the rug, including colour tone, contrast and texture.

However, there may be slight colour variations due to light, pile and the difference in computer screens.

It is important that you are happy with your purchase, therefore if you have any questions or issues, please contact us.

Thank you for looking.
