A fine pair of William IV mahogany chairs in very good condition with lovely grain throughout, plain concave back-rests and decoratively carved mid-rails on sabre-shaped rear frames, extravagantly scrolled arms, ring-turned and tapering front legs and having clean drop-in seats, covered in a pale, diamond-patterned fabric, these great chairs are both practical and decorative and will impress in any elegantly furnished period setting and draw admiring attention from family and guests alike.

NB: This item was originally listed as a single chair but I have now acquired an identical chair from the same source and am therefore able to offer both together as a matching pair.

O/All Width 56.5cm x Depth 54.5cm (22.25" x 21.5")
Height to Centre of Back 88cm (34.75") & Height to Seat Frame 46cm (18.25")

This is a genuine antique from around the 1830s, so you may expect the mature character that only comes with considerable age; there are repairs to the bases of both rear legs but otherwise it's in very good, clean condition, ready to use in your home.
