In 1964 Sir Terence Conran and his friends set out to bring London a new, European way to shop for contemporary homeware. For over 50 years the Habitat brand has become famous for world class, stylish, sought after design that is still just as popular as ever.

From furniture, lighting and tableware to home accessories and soft furnishings, Habitat has produced it all.

Many chairs were produced by the furniture workshops of Bauhaus, but the most famous were those designed by the Hungarian architect Marcel Breuer. Inspired by the tubular steel of a bicycle's handlebars, Breuer's designs were a modernist masterpiece.

With that in mind these stunning Breuer designed leather and chrome cantilever chairs have become one of Habitat's signature designs, with variations still in production today.

In lovely condition for their age, their previous owner certainly cherished them, and it shows. That being said there are some areas of wear including paint marks, scuffs and scratching to the chrome. Certain chairs have had more use than others, these particular ones feature a softer leather in places, with some backs being slightly less taut. The under side to one of the seats is heavily cracked, but does not show from the top and certainly does not effect its use, the fabric still nice and sturdy.

We have polished all the chrome and had the leather professionally cleaned, ensuring that the chairs come to you looking the best they possibly can.

A definite show stopper for any dining space, we're extremely jealous of whoever will get to enjoy these chairs for many more years to come.

Each chair measures approximately 80cm tall, 48cm wide and 55cm deep with a seat height of 46cm.

Width: 48.0 cm
Height: 80.0 cm
Depth: 55.0 cm

Estimated Time: Less than one week
