A wonderful Victorian nursing or 'slipper' chair, generally in good condition, wanting only re-covering to your taste and priced accordingly, with mahogany show-frame, having sabre-shaped rear legs, spoon back with scroll-carved embellishment and upholstered, tapestry covered back-rest, a broadly circular shaped over-sprung seat with a worn tapestry fabric, on boldly modelled French cabriole front legs and the 4 original brass casters, this lovely piece deserves to be rejuvenated and will then impress in the most elegant of period-furnished drawing rooms or boudoirs, fully-deserving of the admiring attention it will undoubtedly attract.

O/All Width 41cm x Depth 51.5cm (16.25" x 20.25")
Height to Centre of Back 99cm (39") & Height to Seat 41cm (16.25")

This is a genuine antique from the mid 19thC, so you may expect the mature character that only comes with genuine age; the tapestry covers are tired & worn in places and the string braiding around the back-rest is damaged but the padding and springs appear to be sound so, generally, it's in good, clean condition but ripe for re-covering. This would cost around £100-£150 and I can have the work done in a fabric of your choice, with the cost to be confirmed before going ahead.
