A very rare original circa 1860 fully sprung restored aged brown leather lounge wingback armchair with Lion hairy paw feet

A very fine example, the feet are carved in the Georgian Irish manor and are exquisite, the leather has been fully restored as it had faded back to the plain russet colour, it’s been hand dyed from the ground up this amazing whiskey brown colour, its been done in such a way so as to not lose the original vintage patina

The chair is a rare model, its fully sprung, what that means is the arms, back rest and seat base are all sprung, additionally the front panel is sprung, this is super rare, the front panel is the bar that sits across the front under the cushion, this is usually a solid piece of timber, to have it made fully sprung is very expensive however it adds a new level of comfort to the piece. The springs are all the highest grade of copper, not standard steel which can rust and brake

The seating area is larger than normal, you can fit a wide bottomed person here with ease
