This is a remarkable and rare nest of tables designed by Kai Kristiansen. The Teak grain in the tabletop veneers are stunning and set within solid teak frames. The immaculate joints are customary Kristiansen quality of the highest level. This unique nest is featured in the Kai Kristiansen catalogue as Model 343. The tables stack seamlessly into a triangular nest. fitting neatly and elegantly into a corner. Not to be missed, a beautiful and highly collectible example of the best of Danish designed mid century furniture.

About the designer
Kai Kristiansen is one of Denmark's most respected mid century designers for his dedication to the craft of cabinet making fused with expert design principles. He trained as a cabinet maker before studying under Kaare Klint at the Royal Academy (his final student). Kristiansen gained international prestige for the FM Reolsystem. His Model 42 chair is also considered a design classic.

During the 1960s Kristiansen created a number of designs based on the simple cube, using his architectural expertise to design table nests of the purest form. He personally selected much of the Teak and Rosewood he used to ensure the best grain pattern in his works. Many of Kristiansen's mid century pieces are rare today as they were often considered too expensive for mass manufacture. Kristiansen stayed true to his design philosophy and refused to compromise on quality.
