A Victorian desk of huge proportions. We believe this desk to have been in an English bank and dates to the late 1800's. It has an unusual design and is all completely locked once the writing slope is closed. Upon opening the slope there is a knob which is pulled out which then opens the two lower doors, there are two brass buttons to the side which reveal the pigeon holes and drawers then finally the inkwell slot can be opened. This desk is made of solid English oak so is extremely heavy and is beautifully crafted and the grains to the oak are superb.

This desk has visited our french polishers and had the full treatment. It was all stripped, waxed and french polished. The back rail to the right hand side has been replaced, two of the door knobs have been replaced and the leather skiver has been replaced. Its now ready for its new owner and you will not be disappointed.
