An art nouveau bronze plaque dating to around 1900. It is by Sir Hamo Thornycroft RA, member of the Royal Academy, London. He won a gold medal on his admission in 1876. He has many works in museums and public spaces all over the U.K. From Oliver Cromwell at the Houses of Parliament, Queen Victoria in London's Embankment gardens. This award was a horticultural prize by Toogood & Sons, seedsmen by Royal appointment. It measures 11.5 inches by 6.5 inches. The inscription is blank. I also include a photo of Hamo Thornycroft on the last picture..a fine looking Gent!
