About this item

Sciolari brass wall lights, a pair, 1970`s ca, Italian.

These vintage wall lights have been gently cleaned while respecting the aged patina. They are rewired, earthed & ready to install. Light bulbs included. It is possible to install these lights in other countries although it may be necessary to purchase different light bulbs suitable to local electricity.

These Modernist wall lights have a pared down design based on the traditional wall sconce. There are several simple but effective design details such as the tubular shape with exagerated width, continuous curving flow into what might be a boboche, and highly polished finish.

These wall lights would suit a range of interiors such as Art Deco, Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, 70`s Glamour, Post Modern, Industrial & Contemporary.

Structurally each has three tubular columns, two short either side of the longer. The width of each column is slightly exagerated. Towards the bottom each curves out to suggest a bobeche. The centre tube is longer extending at both the top & bottom. The centre tube attached to the circular brass base.

On the reverse side of the brass base there is the white lacquered cup containing the electrical connector. There is also the wall bracket which attaches to the wall. The lacquered cup attaches at each side with a screw to the bracket. At the bottom there is also a switch to control each light individually.

Finished with candle shaped light bulbs these wall lights can have a traditional Gothic effect. Alternatively other light bulb shapes could be used such as pygmy for a Modernist look.

Takes 3 E14 standard small screw light bulbs up to 40 Watts each.Photographed with clear candle shaped light bulbs of 25 Watts which are included in this price.

These wall lights are in very good condition with minor rubbing on the brass.

Packing is offered free of charge. We take special professional care while packing. The frame would be wrapped in bubble wrap and could be securely boxed ideal for posting.
