About this item

British firm Hadrill & Horstmann created some of the most memorable and innovative lamps and lighting solutions of the 20th century.
Not about the follow the trend of the spring loaded anglepoise lamp designed by George Carwardine for Herbert Terry in the 1930s, Hardrill and Horstmann instead opted to create a barrel weighted counterbalance mechanism, creating a memorable and elegant lamp that helped immortalise the designers far beyond the standard offerings that came before them.
These lamps have affectionately and appropriately become known as 'Rollers', with a seamless fluid movement these lamps are just as satisfying to move as they are to look at.
In lovely condition for its age, with only some slight chipping to the paintwork, and a couple of dints to the cone .
The lamp has been fully rewired with 3 core twisted green nylon flex at a length of a new chrome lamp holder and 3 pin UK plug fitted.
