About this item

Rectangular triptych mirror on four legs, edited by the house of Brot, named after its founder Francois Brot. Recognized for the exceptional quality of its products, this Parisian establishment created in 1826 appears worldwide as a benchmark in the field of Beauty and Decorative Mirrors.
This Triptych, with its structure in black lacquered wood, is by definition made up of two side panels. The latter are provided with brass frames and covered on the outside with a Royal Blue color fabric. Inside, these panels are trimmed with two authentic Mercury Mirrors, which fall back on a third, fixed, in the central part. There are traces of antiquity on these mirrors, due to their 120 years of history. They are concentrated on the left pane and do not hinder a conventional use of this object.
To facilitate the opening of the first Shutter, it was fitted with a brass draw pendant. Engraved around the same alloy, the inscriptions "Miroir Brot" certify the manufacture of this Triptych and its 100% French origin.
A relatively rare element, it rests on a black base with a substantial width, guaranteeing good stability to the whole. This removable mirror is also equipped with four casters, for easier mobility.
This elegant and adaptable triptych can find its place in a palace as well as in a more modest place. We can also imagine it resuming its function - probably - original Foot mirror for ready-to-wear stores.
