About this item

Wimbledon-Furniture is delighted to offer for sale this pair of original 1912 Britannia Sterling silver Harry Freeman Café Au Lait coffee and milk jugs
A stunning and very well made pair, they are Britannia silver, sterling silver is 925/1000 parts silver, Britannia silver is 958/1000 parts silver so it’s a higher and finer grade of silver
Both jugs are fully hallmarked HF for Harry Freeman, the Lions head for London, the date letters Q and R for 1911 & 1912 and lastly the imagine of the Queen sitting on the throne for Britannia silver
Both jugs are in good order throughout considering they are 110 years old next year, one has a small ding in the middle as pictured, I can have it professionally restored for around £200
Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition
Please also ask any questions before you bid and not after, all of our items are sold as seen and as listed
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade
