About this item

Beautiful wooden bottle made of one single piece of Sycamore wood, decorated by little engravings featuring three peasants working in the fields: One is busy sowing, another one is cultivating with its hoe while the third is threshing the grain with its flail.
Some wheat strands complete the picture.
Dated "l An 1851."
A crack on the side has been repaired with handmade metal staples featuring snake scales.
It originates from Puy en velay, France.
