Antique 19th century rare Chinese Export solid silver pair of vases, impressive and exceptionally fine, amphora-shaped, decorated with repoussé prunus against a “cracked ice” effect ground. Exquisite prunus blossom handles mounted on each side, standing on a very unusual ball and pedestal base, applied with beaded boarders. Hallmarked 90 (900+ silver standard), Maker Wing Cheong, Hong Kong. An identical example retailed by Wang Hing, can be found in the book by A. Von Ferscht, Chinese Export Silver 1785-1940, 5th edition 2015, page 827.
