Eric Knowles Comments
Although unsigned by both maker and cutter the quality of the design is indisputably that of Stevens and Williams whilst the standard of cutting suggests the talents of Joshua Hodgetts.
The design steers clear of the glassworks other vases of continental Art Nouveau type cut with flora on whiplash stems, now replaced by a more formalised design of flowerhead and pendant rings against reeded slender rods that offer a more Austro/German Jugendstil influence.
