About this item

Vintage from the 1950s

Collectible, rare, "Model 10", Stereoclic viewer was manufactured in France by Bruguiere, approximately between 1958-1963.

It was unique in that it was developed to go from the "single view" viewers of the time, to a "multi-view" or "3D" viewer,
as an attempt to combat the threat posed by the Sawyer's View-Master.

Instead of using a circular reel, (like the View-Master viewers), it used a strip of eight (8), "stereo pairs", which were inserted from the top, then went
down, advanced by a side lever. The quality of the pictures was quite good and they typically provided a stereo picture with good depth.

This particular model has two notable features:
~ A set of focusing eye-pieces.
~ Two (2) advance leavers; one operates by moving the slide down and the other by moving it up.

Viewer is in great original condition, with typical signs of use and wear, consistent for its age.
Comes with its original box, with information on the inner flap and sides. (See photos.)

An amazing gift for any collector of mid-century viewers!
