Balancing a chair on his nose, the clown juggler performs this feat of strength and balance to music.

Clockwork musical automaton, probably German circa 1870.

Fine original clothing, distressed in places, made of gold metal thread with velvet waistcoat.
Original white face paint to and hi quality mohair wig. Papier Mache figure on wooden base
containing the clockwork motor. Integral key and stop/start.

The wooden chair revolving as the figure moves with a wiggling motion to balance it.

A fine early automaton in good working order and totally original condition.
