Antique Mora Clock from the early 18h century dated 1817

This Mora clock is painted in its original white and green paint colours
The paint is worn reflecting the age of the clock.
There is a hand carved crest on the base of the clock which was possibly the crest of the original owner in 1817

The face has been detailed with the name of the clocksmith who made the mechanism (Peter Fargershylt) and the town in which he made this clock ('Christinehamn' now spelt Kristinehamn).

On the inside door panel of this clock the clocksmith has added his 2 initials and the 3rd initial is the first letter of the name of thee town ('PFC') (the 'F' is old Swedish style). The date has been added below these initials: 1817
There are additional carved details around the lower base, the door panel and the hood/crown of this clock.

This Mora clock has its original working mechanism, pendulum, cast iron weights and its original winding.
