About this item

Made in the Gansu province, circa 1850, this decorative two drawer table resembles Tibetan design with its painted flowers and bright yellow side panels.

With the top painted mostly in gold with a classic scroll pattern, fierce dragons, touched with a hint of turquoise, yellow and pink to create wonderful oriental designs and the long life symbol can be found in green on each corner. Also included on the frame you'll find oranate swastikas which are Buddhist symbols that represent auspiciousness and prosperity.

The worn edges add lots of character and charm to this rare piece which would work well as a cute coffee table in a modern home. Or it would make a great feature in a bedroom with two useful drawers for storage.
