About this item

This is a late 18th century (circa 1780) Georgian mahogany, oval-shaped, drop-leaf dining table, dating from the reign of George III.

It stands on four tapering turned legs with pad feet, all of which would have been turned by hand. One leg to each side-gate opens to support the leaves.

The table is made from a fabulous quality mahogany and has lovely patina and colour (as you can see from the photos).

It can also be folded down when not in use which adds to its versatility.

The table has been gently cleaned and it is ready for the next stage of its life.
