About this item

Buffet Serving in Veneer of Violet Wood, Louis XV style, with Crossbow front opening by two doors. The latter - just like the sides - are embellished with Marquetry in Butterfly Wings, with framing in double friezes, the first in Chevrons, the second in thread, or vice versa. The central, domed element is an integral part of the right door. It is decorated with four vertical chevron bands and has an original keyhole in cut bronze. The furniture is supplied with its key, also from the period. The left door has top and bottom metal clasps. It will be noted that these two hectic leaves are mounted on deported brass lighters.
The interior, in Oak, offers two storage compartments, formed by the presence of a 32 cm deep shelf placed on fixed battens.
The top is a granite Pyrenees marble predominantly Red with shades of Gray and White. It is cut at the front, at the corners and on the sides along the lines of the furniture and it is molded around its perimeter.
The front uprights of this Commode Buffet are semi-round and the cul-de-lamp is lined with leafy Bronze.
The set rests on four curved legs, inlaid with Chevron Violet Wood and terminated by four brass clogs.
This Serving Buffet, whose height on feet evokes a Sauteuse Commode, benefits from Pretty and Delicate Wood Games. We will also appreciate the infrequent design of this piece of furniture, which allows you to imagine it supporting a Bronze, positioned under a Mirror, and furnished with Glassware for example.
