About this item

A stunning mixed wood sideboard designed by Malcolm David Walker for Dalescraft in Pudsey.

Designed for the Hayworth dining room collection. The front and back are veneered with Burma teak. The rest of the piece is solid African teak. When originally sold in 1960 it was priced at £47.18.

It was designed to hold dining plates, servers and cutlery. The lower right hand draw is the cutlery tray, which is lined in felt. The front section was designed with a counter balance to flap down and be sturdy enough to function as an additional serving table.
