About this item

Elegant lounge furniture in cherry and maple, great quality carpentry, and elaborate design. From the brass tips start 2 rounded laths that widen until they form a spiked leg and continue bending at 90 degrees until they circle the whole base. The body of the cabinet has 2 fans in cherry wood waveworked in the centre and are completed in the centre by a skirt frame that outlines the central compartment with glass doors decorated with winged victory and horses, inside precious mirror mosaic with 2 processes. On the sides and under doors and drawers in maple with cherry wood inlays. The furniture is typical of the construction of the craftsmen Canturini, the design, although unique and decisive in its lines, unquestionably leads back to the Milanese design, assume a name is not possible, you can see influences of Paolo Buffa or Borsani glass by Luigi Brusotti, crediting it to a precise name is not possible, no documentation has been found. However, it remains a beautiful piece of furniture where a high bourgeois taste of the middle of the last century is fully identified.
