About this item

Beautiful antique Edwardian Arts & Crafts period hall or umbrella stand with glove drawer. Dating from the late 19th/early 20th century and made of solid oak, there is space for your walking sticks and umbrellas - the original drip tray (zinc?) is still there to catch any rainwater and save your carpets from the muddy marks of walking sticks. A dovetail jointed drawer gives you ample space for gloves, keys, dog lead and anything else that you need to have to hand. Being of a small size this small narrow console or hallway stand will fit into the smallest of houses or flats. No hallway? no problem, it would be equally at home sat on a small landing or placed in a small corner of any room be it the living room, kitchen, dining room or study, a truly versatile piece of furniture.

It has been lovingly looked after by one family for many years, and you can see this when you look at the wood, you can see where people have touched it and stroked it over time, giving it a patina that can only come from being touched by hands through the years. It now deserves a new loving home where it will serve for many years to come.

The measurements are Height 78cm x Width 81cm to top of drawer and full height to top of back 99cm x 33cm Deep
