About this item

A 19th Century Dutch marquetry bombe bureau. Carved claw feet, fantastic undulating bombe shaped to base with two small drawers over two long. Side columns opening to reveal secret compartments with four small drawers to each. Drop down fall opening to reveal leather writing surface, shaped interior with five drawers, cupboard and pigeon holes and a well. All in walnut veneers with a profusion of floral inlay in satinwood, burr walnut, lime, ebony and others. Good colour, some condition issues including a split to one side and slight veneer damage.
