About this item

Mid century Bang & Olufsen 900RG Radiogram Danish made.

Still has the original manual as well as receipt of purchase in 1968 from brittain's of Rotherham. £180 paid which is the equivalent of £2100 today. The record player still has the protective transparent cover over the knob plate.

This unit comes with a further two bang and Olufsen speakers ( end connections need fitting ) these plug into the underside of the unit and can be placed where you like, in another room, at the back of the room etc.

Overall good condition. I have not restored this piece as some like to do this work themselves. There are a few minor marks to the top but nothing major. More pictures will be added. The buyer may wish to refinish it or I can restore it.

Recently the record player seems to take a while to turn at the correct speed. It turns slowly and speeds up to the correct speed after a while. I am not sure if it's the cold weather as it is in my workshop and has only been doing it since it has gotten colder. The radio isn't very clear, I'm told it's common on old radiograms and could benefit from a better antenna? Maybe it could also benefit from a new needle.

The tape deck installed is by TEAC and also records.

A beautifully styled Radiogram of Danish mid century design.
