About this item

Recently upcycled Morris of Glasgow Pedestal Desk by award winning designer Neil Morris - 1960's.
The desk shows signs of wear to the top and both drawer keys & locks are missing, but the desk is solid and has plenty of rustic charm.

More about the maker:
In 1947 Morris became the favoured supplier of British Royalty and were commissioned to design and fit a special bedroom suite for the Queen and Prince Philip as a Royal wedding gift. The wood was taken from the Balmoral Castle Estate and then sent to their first home at Clarence House . Today the furniture resides in Sandringham House. By 1967, Morris fitted out her Majesty’s cruise ship and the QE2 for the Royal Family. In 1970 Morris won contracts to supply British Embassies with desks and cabinets continuing their great heritage in office furniture.
