About this item

This is a wall unit design, bureau and bookcase, dating from the 1960s in teak/teak veneer; designed by J. Sorth.

Typical of Mid Century designs it is both beautiful and functional, incorporating innovative features.

This lovely Bureau in beautiful rich teak and is a versatile multi-functional unit combining ample storage in three integrated drawers with a practical sliding desktop that pulls out to reveal a large working surface suitable for laptops and tablet computers.

Inside the bureau there are 3 small drawers and a letter rack. The bureau opens by 2 sliding doors tambour doors.

Above the desk are two adjustable shelves.

Note the detail of the v-shaped panel - another design touch typical of Bornholm

It stands on 4 wooden legs giving it a floating feel.

It measures 72" tall, 17" deep at the base, 9.5" deep at the top and 39.5" wide. The desk top is 38" wide and 14" deep when pulled out. The drawers are 38" wide and 4.5" tall.

It is in excellent condition and has been professionally re-polished; ready to use and enjoy.
