About this item

Unusual early 20th century breakfront buffet. Constructed entirely from teak and ebony, and standing on a pair of outrageous ‘clawed’ feet, with full height ebony inlay down each side.
The fabulous leaded mosaic doors are made from glass and ebony pieces arranged in an abstract pattern and are identical although one has been inverted 180 degrees. The doors open to reveal three black shelves either side.
The middle breakfront section contains a lockable cupboard above which is a lockable drawer velour lined and divided for cutlery (sadly missing the manufacturers plaque), a black glass top and a black shelf above. All four locks are made by Oscar Schlieper, Remschied.
