About this item

An unusually decorative shop display counter, originally sourced from Mappin & Webb, Regent Street, London. It dates from the early 20th century, circa 1920. The brass legs are very ornate, in the form of acanthus leaves. The cabinet itself is glazed & brass-banded, on a mahogany base, with mirror glass base and bronzed, bevelled mirror glass rear panels. The three cabinet access doors are also clad in bevelled mirror glass ( a later addition).

Please note- this is a very heavy piece & will require 2 strong people to carry it [or 4 reasonably strong people!].
