About this item

A wonderful bow ended silver plated casket. Great quality silver plated box raised on feet with flowing floral decoration and cherubs to front and rear. Bow ends having similar flowing detail around a female face. The dome top cast with dolphins and shells with a central cartouche surrounded by mythical beasts. Surmounted by a full length lady admiring herself in a hand mirror. Opening to reveal a velvet lined interior. Diamond registration mark for 1852. Silver plate on copper and steel.
