About this item

A beautiful fine Georgian mahogany tea caddy.
This tea caddy has most of its original liner which is an unusual find on older caddies.
It has a sarcophagus shape which was popular in the Georgian and Regency periods. It has brass ring handles on the sides and a brass knob on the top. On the front it has got a circular shaped lock but unfortunately without the key.
English make, Georgian era it is the perfect example of a fine English caddy.
Condition is good, used with signs of use, wear and ageing commensurate with age.
