About this item

Beautiful, handcrafted, French, farmhouse milking stool on tripod legs,
from the late 50's - early 60's.

Made of solid wood with a rich, dark brown-colored finish tinged with hues of burnt umber, this vintage
piece is unlike other stools, as no nails were used to attach the legs. Instead, they can be inserted into
then screwed into place by hand, under the seat. (The three legs will be disassembled for shipping
purposes.)

Piece is in wonderful, original condition as it has clearly been well-preserved over
the years. The seat has maintained its natural wood grain and form, and the color
its rich, original patina. Light signs of age and use, commensurate with time on the
seat and legs, but nothing that takes away from its charm or beauty (see photos.)

Both sturdy and stable, this fantastic, rustic piece of craftsmanship, is perfect to
use as originally intended: for sitting, as a foot stool or even a plant stand.

A great accent piece that will blend nicely into any home environment be
it French country, modern, rustic, mid-century, traditional, etc.
