The frame is sturdy and strong and has a sprung seat which makes it lovely and comfy. It has been fully refurbished in a deep dark brick red velvet. The fabric is from a particularly robust Linwood range and is stain and crease resistant. It's sometimes difficult to convey the subtlety of fabric colour and texture in photographs so if you’d like us to send you a swatch just drop us a line and we will pop one in the post to you.

All of our midcentury sofa and chair frames are imported almost exclusively from Denmark and they come with excellent design and quality provenance.

Every Stedsans-restored piece is stripped of all old upholstery and fully reupholstered from the wooden frame out, by experienced professionals using modern foam and upholstery materials. We use beautiful fabrics we know will age gracefully and be able to withstand modern life, ensuring the finished piece feels like new but retains its design heritage and authenticity. All our restored pieces comply to current fire retardancy regulations for domestic use as a minimum.
