About this item

Quinta Chair by Mario Botta for Alias

Designed in 1985, this iconic chair shows the influence of Botta's mentors including Le Corbusier, Louis Kahn and Carlo Scarpa. The shape of the slotted steel back and seat allow for flex in the material as you sit or lean back, adding unexpected comfort. The architectural lines of the chair design are reminiscent of Botta's design for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art building, his first building in the U.S. An example of this chair is now on view at the Museum of Modern Art.

Made of metal tubing and perforated sheet metal.

Condition is very good with all the original sliders present.
