About this item

Armchair by Otto Wagner for Thonet

This chair is in good solid condition.
There is one small chip in the seat at the front (pictured). It is about the size of a 1p piece.

A very rare design from one of Art Nouveau's most prominent designers in the architect Otto Wagner. Based in Vienna during the last decade of the 19th century this chair was a product of the Vienna Secession movement of which Wagner was a founding member. These chairs are very rare, very well made and very stylish. If you purchase this item you are buying a hugely important piece of design history.
