About this item

Without doubt surviving in that perfect untouched condition apart from a vacuum and light wipe over, this set of 10 matching wooden armchairs are a rarity. Reputably from a Staffordshire pavilion – the painted letters HP underneath the seats seems to help - pavilion or maybe prison, who really knows?

The condition in this set of British chairs is spot on - the wear is in the right places, with the arms attractively lightened with wear at the ends, seats bums polished and coloured with wear and the frames with numerous knocks, scuffs and bumps. Remarkably they remain in fine vintage condition with no repairs, bits missing or breakages to the frames. So many times these would be “chopped” into smaller sets of 4s, so finding 10 matching is a real bonus. Expect marks and wear to the frames. No odours and yes they are comfy to sit on.

A smashing set of 10 matching armchairs in good historic condition!
